I am a painter living and working on the Oregon Coast. I primarily paint quiet places where light filters slowly and the world feels like it’s back to something real.

I’ve long been inspired by transcendentalist thinking, Emerson, Thoreau, especially the belief that simplicity clarifies the spirit. What draws me is not the romance of isolation, but the question at its core: what does a life look like when you remove money, status, and expectation? What remains when you stand alone in the landscape?
